Begin the Conversation
Admission begins with a conversation. Prospective students are invited to contact the Seminary to discuss their educational goals, previous academic work, ministry experience, and the program that may best meet their needs.

Admissions
The Seminary of the Sacred Heart welcomes students seeking theological education for service in the Church, including lay ministry, church leadership, ordained ministry, vowed religious life, and deeper theological study.
Our programs are offered through a flexible, primarily asynchronous model combining independent study with direct interaction with faculty and clergy. Students should be prepared for serious theological study, regular communication with instructors, and active participation in their own academic and ministerial formation.
Tuition
Students preparing for ministry within the Old Catholic Union of the West attend the Seminary on a goodwill basis, with no tuition charged. Students are ordinarily responsible for books, materials, and other expenses associated with their formation.
Tuition for other students is $1,600 per academic year, plus books and materials. Additional expenses may apply for travel to Pasadena, Clinical Pastoral Education, outside coursework, or specialized formation requirements.
